Ha Chong-Hyun for DIOR LADY ART #8 exhibition at the Seoul House of DIOR

Just a few days ago, I visited the HA CHONG-HYUN FOR DIOR LADY ART #8 exhibition at the DIOR Café Seoul, House of DIOR. I was thrilled because Ha Chong-Hyun is one of my absolute favorite artists. The exhibition did not disappoint, and the customer service was just as exquisite. I even became friends with one of the docents (it turns out we both attended Ewha Womans University). She is an artist herself and was selected to assist with the exhibition as part of the ongoing partnership between Christian Dior Couture and the University. How exciting!

To the point:

  • My friend and I were greeted at the door, and when we stated the purpose of our visit, we were guided right to the exhibition floor and had someone to assist us the entire time.

  • When I had a question about the pricing that the docent couldn't answer, I was immediately referred to a Client Assistant who waited for me on the shopping floor, right next to the elevator.

  • The exhibition itself was fantastic, featuring a heartwarming video introducing the artist, paintings corresponding to the four bags he created for the occasion, as well as one of his newest artworks.

  • While I was busy asking the staff a thousand questions about the Dior Lady Art #8 bags – and they responded to each and every one with care – my friend decided to do a little try-on and was just as kindly assisted to the exact floor with the item she had her eyes on.

  • The docents were very knowledgeable about both the Dior Lady Art bags and Ha Chong-Hyun's artwork on display. The service was available in both English and Korean, providing an impeccable, museum-level experience.

  • The first floor had a section dedicated to bags created by other artists invited for this edition, including two by Lee Kun-Yong, another renowned Korean artist.

  • Although I didn't have time to go there myself, there is a café on the 5th floor that is very popular with Seoulites.

  • A sidenote but very important as a customer: I was looking a bit scruffy after only five hours of sleep and while I got snubbed at another location, the House of DIOR staff treated me like the most distinguished guest. Kudos for their professionalism and excellent staff training.

Have you been to any of the Dior Lady Art exhibitions? This one is open until Sunday, January 21, 2024.
